NewSepticCreating Contour Systems Overview
NewSeptic was built to rapidly draw onsite wastewater treatment systems. The overall process for generating contour systems is a lot:
- analyze the soil for loading rates and depths
- size the area required
- select the system type
- find the maximum contour length onsite
- draw the trenches, piping, and bed materials
landplan.io streamlines this process by allowing all the steps to flow.
To create contour systems, you first draw a trench with the Trench Tool along the maximum contour line on the map. Once one trench is drawn, the create contour system button will appear in the septic toolset.
To open the System Type dialog, click the Create Contour System button:
The System Type dialog is dependent on the area that the system is being designed in. The list of systems available should be based on state and local regulations. If your list isn't exactly as you should expect for your area, please contact us. We are very interested in getting the system type lists very accurate.
The Create Contour System form is a multi-tabbed form, and should contain all the information to accurately draw a contour system based on the original trench component drawn:
The second tab going left is the soil analysis:
The third tab going left is the side profile:
The fourth tab going left is the overhead view. To start drawing your system with the edited parameters, click the Draw button:
The software will take all the parameters you've entered and draw a combination of drawn components on top of the original trench line. Different systems types will be composed of a variety of components.
To edit a bed as a whole, you can click on the trench tool and hover over top of the area of the system you want to edit, over a trench, and edit/add a vertex there.
