Annotations - Adding Text to the Map
On the print view left menu, there is the Annotations menu.
Create a New Annotation
Scroll to the bottom of the left print view window. Click on the Add New Annotation button, then click on the map where you want the text. Next, the Annotations window should open and you can complete the form.
Save Annotations
There are often times when making maps when you need to add some text to every map you create. You may need to edit this text or add to it slightly or remove some text. NewSeptic allows you to save annotations and store these with your account for easily adding to future maps.
For example, when designing a replacement septic system, you may always want to put on the plan that the existing tanks will require pumping and crushing. You can save some text to your annotations list and add that as needed.
Adding Saved Annotations to the Map
To add your saved annotations, first locate the saved annotation from your list. Click on your saved annotation. The annotation should be placed onto the map print view. You can move the annotation to the desired location on the map. If you hover over the annotation you should be able to click hold and move the annotation to the desired location.
You can click once on the annotation, and it should bring up the window to edit the annotation.
There is advanced styling options available by clicking on the gears icon.
